Pixie Dust 3: Executive Networking

Pixie Dust III A Tale of Effective Management Networking

Pixie Dust III  is a tale of how to develop effective management networks in today’s business world. It is, in part, the experiences of 30 years of management networking by the author Dr Howard G Awbery and the result of recent doctoral research by Dr Geoff Mackey which corrects common networking misconceptions and offers a set of guidance notes which are supported by an explanatory flow diagram.

In Pixie Dust III, Floot the Community Leader of Ten-Tree Wood is summoned by his boss to investigate how other communities network effectively. What was their driving force, what networking protocols were adopted and what could realistically be expected as outcomes?

Floot’s experiences whilst investigating networking were painful but the learning became etched on his mind forever. He returned to his own Community and successfully developed networking as a culture and finally had to use all his networking experience to overcome a crisis that threatened to destroy his whole Community.

Dr Geoff Mackey’s research work demonstrated that networking can multiply managers’ effectiveness in a world where only the connected succeed.
